There are three types Shapova: whole, with cuts in front and on the clasp, cutting the sides. Formed from chaperone to the cape which add length: Front Shap comes to the solar plexus, and the rear - to the knees. Shap was originally clothing travelers, shepherds, strangers and pilgrims, and then it began to wear peasants, and later it became part of the official costume of the nobility and the higher ecclesiastical persons. The volume of such Shapova was so great that they were hired to support the special servant - "portshapy" (bearing shapy).
