Most often plakhta were made of various woolen fabric with a pattern of symmetrical squares, diamonds, rosettes or stars, separated by strips. The same name and eventually got the fabric from which sewed the skirt. Today plakhta can be seen in ethnographic museums and performer of folk dances.
