Boa is a scarf made of natural fur of an animal, often stored paws, muzzle and tail. This word comes from the French "gorgette", means "throat". Boa appeared at the beginning of the XX century and represents the entire skin of the dead animal small breeds (eg foxes). Manufacturers completely preserved teeth and claws, and instead of eyes were inserted colored stones or glass. In the 20's became more boa collar or scarf, and no neck ornaments from the animal. The most popular materials were skins fox, sable and mink. Today boas are made from both natural and artificial materials. They are not only the evening, but day accessory that can complement office suit or travel kit.
