Chugi ornaments are hanging long thread, fringe related to the frayed or woven into braids. Chuga was common type of clothing in the Middle Ages among the Carpathian Lemko and considered a symbol of consistency. The decoration of this type of clothing is different depending on the region of Lemko. In Slobozhanschyna chugoy also called long coat with short sleeves, worn and ordinary people (from sermyaga, canvas), and the boyars (of fine cloth, brocade and velvet).
