 Hood (fr. Capote) - spacious women's clothing with zipper front and long sleeves. Came into widespread use in the early XIX century. First, it refers to an outfit for the street - fancy bonnets were made of silk, wool or wool mixture and worn as a light coat. The same name and had a hard hat shape with a small crown and wide brim in front. Later hoods became known only home clothes, reminiscent of the loose dress with buckle. In these outfits made morning toilet and took close friends. Hoods were made of silk, fine wool or linen of different colors - from pure white to bright red - and trimmed fiefs, fringe, lace inserts and proshvami.
