Epanche were made of cloth, felt, impregnated with linseed oil, whereby it acquired water-repellent properties, decorated with stitching, lace, buttons.
At the end of the XVII century epanche become formal attire nobles in XVIII - the elements of the military uniforms of soldiers and officers.
