Sold the world's largest pink diamond

 During the auction Christie's auction in Hong Kong was a huge pink diamond sold in 12, 04 carat, unique in the history of auctions, and the world at large.

Diamond valued at $ 8 million, but by the end of trading rates rose to 17, 4 million. This unique pink stone is called Martian Pink in honor of NASA Mars mission in 1976. Faceted company did Harry Winstom. Stone is also valuable in that it contains no nitrogen impurities, provided that such a pure pink color.

Also known stories in 24 carat stone found in Tanzania and presented in 1947 at the wedding of the British Queen Elizabeth II.
