Under glass: a real Tilda Swinton sleeping in a museum

Contemporary art has no boundaries. Put a full day of world stars under glass to sleep off it there? Doddle!

But who like action - this is an unusual artistic act, and actress Tilda Swinton - it is a kind of hobby. This Saturday Tilda once again staged a performance with a sleeping beauty in the New York Museum MoMA. Before that, she was asleep in 1995 at London's Serpentine Gallery in Rome Museo Barracco in 1996. Then she said that she would never repeat such an experiment over the audience, but then changed her opinion. Now she hopes to die in this way, when really become old.

Art facility called The Maybe consists of a bed, a glass box and sleeping in it from opening to closing of the museum Swinton. The appearance of the actress in this "sleep chamber" is impossible to predict, because the work in this art object no timetable, and no particular place in the halls of the Museum of Modern Art. The Maybe can move from place to place, without warning anyone. That is why, probably, museum workers on Saturday were surprised by the new exhibit even more visitors themselves.
