 Hauts-de-highway (French. Haut-de-chausses) - short spherical quilted pants, popular in France in the XVII-XVIII centuries. They were made of expensive silk, brocade, velvet, cloth, sometimes quilt to give more volume. There are many different styles. By the middle of the XVII century the word "eau-de-highway" called length pants just below the knee loose-fitting, which were decorated with bunches of ribbons la petit-wah and ribbons with egiyettami (ferrules).
