Marc Jacobs: from the seller to the designer of the brand
April 9, 1963 in New York, Marc Jacobs was born - a man who today is known as one of the most influential designers of modern fashion industry. Today he was forty-five, and he is the art director for the house Louis Vuitton, the founder of the grunge style of dress, but to achieve this, Mark had to learn a lot.

Mark was raised paternal grandmother, who loved fashion and instilled this love to her grandson. Their joint shopping trips and the first elements of tailor's skill could not affect the young Jacobs. As a result, thirteen Mark got a job in a boutique Charivari working at the warehouse, and in fifteen was the seller. In eight years in the same boutique will sell the first products made by Mark.

Mark received education in the New York High School of Art and Design, and it is this institution largely helped him to become a designer. His graduation collection, composed of several sweaters associated grandmother's arms was noted, and the Mark was awarded the title "Student of the Year." This collection, and became his ticket to the world of high fashion. It is interesting that in 2004 it will be called an honorary graduate school. Mark continued his education in New York, entered the famous Parsons School of Design. Even during his studies he created, and most importantly to sell the collection of knitted sweaters. In 1986, Marc Jacobs launches a collection with the support of «Onward Kashiyama USA, Inc.» but under its own label. A year later, Mark becomes the owner of the award of the CFDA (The Council of Fashion Designers of America) «Perry Ellis Award" in the category «New Fashion Talent", and five years later he was awarded the prize as the best designer of women's clothing.

A special place in the biography of Marc Jacobs takes the ninety-third year, when the podium went models dressed in the style of "grunge". The appearance in the world of high fashion "orphan" sundresses, combined with army boots, shocked the critics who compared the collection with "style Harlem homeless people who decided to dress up for a trip to Manhattan." On the one hand, Mark was named designer of the year, on the other - a guide Perry Ellis, which then worked a young designer, just dismissed it disagreed with his innovative ideas.

But already in 1997 Jacobs became the creative director of the fashion house Louis Vuitton, and now in nineteen countries around the world sold his own clothing line Marc by Marc Jacobs. Jacobs is known not only in style grunge, on account of his black patent leather boots, sweaters elongated, shapeless flowered dress and handbag made famous from the movie "Sex and the City." And of Mark still distinguishes the ability to combine seemingly incongruous things, so each of his new show turns into a stunning success.
