Damasse

 Damasse - one of the varieties of fabric lady ornament which is achieved satin weave on a plain background matte. Most often, this fabric made from silk. Damasse different from other kinds of lady emphasized large and expressive patterns. The fabric was very fashionable in the XIX century - from her sewing ladies' toilets and ceremonial used for furniture upholstery. Today damasse produced not only natural but also synthetic fibers. She goes to the production of curtains and bedspreads, but more often it is used for sewing elegant women's dresses and blouses in ethnic style.
